ML Engineer
“I work by building the tools I use.”

I research medical imaging AI and turn it into products. Over 4 years at VUNO, I took chest X-ray and lung CT finding models from research all the way to product, and in my first year I won 1st place in the TIGER international challenge with the digital pathology team. In graduate school, I researched interactive segmentation that cuts physicians' labeling cost. What excites me most is not pushing a few metrics higher, but laying the engineering groundwork that gets models deployed and optimized in real products and lets the team experiment reliably without redoing work. I want to be a colleague who makes meaningful work enjoyable. My full background is in cv.

I craft tools fitted to the way I think. To cut everyday friction and augment my speed, I build the systems I need for work and life, from a terminal session monitor to a dev console to a workspace for AI agents. I believe tidy tools and visual order speed up thinking. Tools I have built and engineering notes live on dev (in Korean), and my daily picks of new AI tools on ai (in Korean).

When I am not working, I read, reflect, and write. Questions about how to live and how to work keep leading me back to engineering. My essays on books and ideas are on writing (in Korean).

you can only connect them looking backwards.”
